*The large basement package was previously quoted as $40,000+. This calculator uses $40,000 as its base, not a guaranteed cap. Existing rates were used in earlier Dream Space estimates; extending them to a new property still requires scope review. Painting coverage and material allowance are confirmed in the written proposal.
03 What is provisional?+
Kitchen: $18,000 up to 120 sq ft, then $110 per additional sq ft; upgraded finishes add $6,000. Bathroom: $12,000 up to 50 sq ft, then $160 per additional sq ft; upgraded finishes add $3,500; an exhaust fan replacement adds $350.
Basement: $25,000 minimum below 800 sq ft, $17.50 per additional sq ft from 800–1,200, $20 from 1,200–1,600, and $25 above 1,600. Added bathroom: $12,000. Dry bar: $4,500. Floor removal and ceiling painting: $1 per sq ft each.
These are calculator draft assumptions, not established Dream Space offers or researched market prices. Any total using them is labeled “Includes draft rates.” Kitchen and bathroom allowances assume standard materials and the existing layout.
04 What happens after the estimate?+
Request a scope review to open a prepared email with your selections. You review and send it yourself. Dream Space can then confirm measurements, materials, access, site conditions and scope before providing a written proposal.
Hidden damage, moisture remediation, structural changes, utility relocation, permits and applicable taxes are not included unless expressly stated. This planning estimate is non-binding and is not a contract, final quote or reservation.
